Our Purpose

Uniting Faith and Healthcare Across Liberia

Established in 1975, the Christian Health Association of Liberia (CHAL) is Liberia's foremost faith-based health umbrella organisation. We coordinate a national network of 82 member facilities — hospitals, clinics, and community health centres — operating primarily in hard-to-reach areas across 12 of Liberia's 15 counties. As a registered national NGO, CHAL functions as the central link between international development partners, the Ministry of Health of Liberia, and the faith-based facilities delivering care on the ground. Our work spans three core areas: the procurement and supply of essential medicines, capacity and infrastructure development in member facilities, and community health outreach.
