CHAL Hosts Hope and Healing Canada: A Partnership Built on Shared Purpose

The Christian Health Association of Liberia recently welcomed a delegation from Hope and Healing Canada — an international NGO dedicated to transforming the lives of children living with disabilities — for a comprehensive visit to CHAL’s headquarters and operational units in Monrovia. The visit brought together two organisations united by a common conviction: that quality healthcare and compassionate support can change the trajectory of vulnerable communities.

Over the course of the day, CHAL’s team guided their guests through the secretariat offices, staff departments, warehouse facilities, and programme units, offering a firsthand look at how CHAL coordinates healthcare delivery across 12 of Liberia’s 15 counties. Presentations covering CHAL’s ongoing projects, achievements, and field challenges sparked rich discussions, and the exchange quickly became a two-way learning experience. Hope and Healing Canada shared global best practices in health management, disability-inclusive programming, and community-centred service delivery — insights that left CHAL staff with fresh perspectives and renewed enthusiasm for their work.

The engagement culminated in a special session exploring areas of collaboration, as Hope and Healing outlined their five programme domains — health, education for children with disabilities, family and livelihoods, and building self-value and confidence. Several CHAL staff members were honoured with gifts in recognition of their dedication to Liberia’s healthcare mission. CHAL looks forward to building a stronger, more formal partnership with Hope and Healing Canada, one that brings even greater hope, healing, and quality care to the communities we serve.
